Ponte San Marco, Brescia (Italy), 18th July 2024 – The Cavagna Group has completed the acquisition of a majority stake in Consulenza Metano S.r.l., a company specializing in the natural gas supply chain. This transaction is in line with the Group’s strategy to strengthen its market position and expand its service offerings.
Consulenza Metano S.r.l. — founded in 1987 and headquartered in Vernate (Milan) — is renowned for its construction of natural gas PRMS – Pressure Regulating and metering stations – throughout Italy, catering to both civil and industrial sectors. It also offers maintenance and emergency services.
The Cavagna Group, which has been producing components and systems for various types of gas for 75 years, considers this acquisition a strategic move to further consolidate its presence in the natural gas management sector, where the Group is already active thanks to solutions offered by some of its other subsidiaries.
“We are confident that this transaction will strengthen the Group’s growth in the gas supply chain,” said Rino Cavagna, Executive Vice President of Sales. “We have transitioned from gas regulation to the world of metering and control, and now, with this acquisition, we are further expanding our coverage to include plant construction, operation and maintenance services. As with each of our sectors, the goal remains the same: to support our partners with solutions for the entire supply chain and complete our offering.”
“After nearly four decades, we have made this decision to ensure business continuity and development,” said Angelo Pisati, President and CEO of Consulenza Metano. “This partnership with the Cavagna Group will strengthen our ability to assist multi-utilities in managing an offering that includes certified quality products, bolstered by a solid group with a proven reputation.”
With this acquisition, the Cavagna Group has reaffirmed its commitment to providing innovative, high-quality solutions in the energy sector, as it continues to invest in the growth and development of its operational skills and capabilities.
