Istanbul, 2nd August 2024 – Kalekalıp , one of the leading industrial organizations in Türkiye operating since 1969, has decided to transfer its natural gas meter business unit to Mesura Metering Sayaç San. ve Tic. A.Ş, a joint subsidiary of Cavagna Group, one of the leading industrial groups in the gas control and metering equipment based in Italy and Başarı Group of Companies , one of Türkiye’s leading technology companies.
Established in 1949 in France, Mesura SAS , a Cavagna Group company, has a distinguished position worldwide and in Türkiye with over 50 million products in use for gas regulators and meters. The collaboration between Kalekalıp and Mesura SAS within Türkiye dates back to the early 1990’s.
Osman Okyay, Vice Chairman of Kale Group, stated that through this step, the well-known brand and proven quality of Kalekalıp in the natural gas sector in Türkiye will create a unique synergy with the technology and international distribution capabilities of Cavagna Group, operating in 150 countries worldwide, and the flag of Kalekalıp tradename will keep waving in Türkiye and abroad in the natural gas sector. Okyay also emphasized that the other industry activities and investments of Kalekalıp will continue within the company and that the transfer only concerns the natural gas meters business unit.
Davide Cavagna, CEO of Cavagna Group, pointed out their long-standing partnership with Kalekalıp’s natural gas meters business unit, and stated that this investment is an indication of their confidence in Türkiye. Rino Cavagna, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Mesura Metering Sayaç San. Ve Tic. A.Ş., indicated that they will pursue an active strategy both domestically and internationally to achieve rapid growth through the synergy created by this significant step.
Ferda Yıldız, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of Mesura Metering Sayaç San. ve Tic. A.Ş., stated that that this new formation is an important milestone that will carry forward the vision of the Başarı Group of Companies in smart meters, software and high-tech products and will support its access to world markets.
