The Cavagna Group has obtained UNI EN ISO 14001 certification for its environmental management system
The Group has reached this important target thanks to sustainable development strategies that have been set in motion and implemented as part of Cavagna’s overall commitment to environmental policy.
UNI EN ISO 14001 certification is the most concrete and significant proof yet that the Cavagna Group has been making consistent investments in its environmental management system. It should be remembered that obtaining UNI EN ISO 14001 certification is not mandatory; rather, a company decides on its own to check the environmental impact of its activities and then commits itself to systematically reducing that impact, by changing its approach and adapting to the European standard. The Cavagna Group’s UNI EN ISO 14001 certification was issued by KIWA, an authoritative, independent agency that provides certification services in the field of quality, energy, environment and product safety. “We are very pleased and proud of this UNI EN ISO 14001 certification,” said Davide Cavagna, CEO of the Group. “It is a certificate that reaffirms our focus on environmental sustainability, which is an integral part of our manufacturing process, from the design of the product to its final testing. We live on planet Earth, so it is our responsibility, through our daily actions, to have a positive relationship with our habitat. ” Valerio Maffi, General Director of the Valve Divisions, had this to add: “Obtaining this certification represents a really concrete achievement for us, because it helps improve awareness of environmental issues throughout the entire company structure, with a positive impact on the overall reorganization of our business processes. As a matter of fact, we have a number of ongoing initiatives that will enable us to deliver greater value to our core business activities, in accordance with the concepts of environmental responsibility. “
